On December 23, 2024, the Ida County Sheriff's Office executed two search warrants at separate residences in Battle Creek, Iowa as part of an on-going burglary/theft investigation that began on December 16, 2024. Warrants were executed simultaneously at 506 3^rd street and 404 2^nd street by the Sheriff's Office.

During the execution of the search warrant deputies located and seized a white crystalline substance, believed to be methamphetamine, and several drug paraphernalia items. The white substance has been sent to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Laboratory in Ankeny, Iowa for testing. Charges are pending upon the results of those tests.  

Deputies have filed felony burglary and theft charges against Jehse Nathaniel Boren, 29 of Battle Creek, Iowa. An active arrest warrant for Mr. Boren has been issued. He is currently being held on separate criminal charges in the Sioux County Jail.  

In addition, Deputies have filed possession of drug paraphernalia charges against Kandi Lynn Senski, 33 of Battle Creek, Iowa. An active arrest warrant for Ms. Senski has been issued. She is also being held in the Sioux County Jail on separate criminal charges.

The investigation is still on-going and additional charges against both individuals is anticipated. Also, additional arrests are possible.
